Beneath
the underdog, a full service production company, based in
Detroit, Michigan, has been in existence since
2002.
We believe in Detroit and are intricately involved in rebuilding this city, physically, emotionally and economically.
We have multiple films in various stages of production, such as, but not limited to: A Cold Day in Hell, Rivers' 11, Sour Milk, Sub Plot, Lynch Pin and Blunt Truth.
Beneath the underdog worked with key members of the
Michigan legislative branch and the Michigan Film Advisory Commission
to insure the new Michigan Film Incentive Bill passed. Jean-Claude
Lewis, producer and president, spoke before the commission. The bill passed April 2008. Now, production companies that film in Michigan can receive of to 42% rebates off their budget. To view the Michigan film incentive bill:

What's behind the name, "beneath
the underdog?"
Beneath the underdog is a state of mind, as well as a state
of physicality. The underdog is perhaps the lowest place. So,
where do others put you when they either don't believe in you
or are intimidated by you? Beneath the underdog -- out of sight
and out of mind. Thus, they do not have to deal with you. But while
beneath the underdog you can grow, unimpeded, until you are strong
enough to push the underdog off of you. After this, those persons are no longer a threat to you.
Out of nothing we created and cultivated beneath the underdog Films to become one of Detroit's premiere production companies. Our
motto: Never Stay Down!
